Woodstones gets new-generation Scania i4

Kidderminster-based Woodstones Coaches has taken delivery of an Irizar i4 built on Scania’s latest KNI360 generation chassis. It has 57 reclining seats, climate control air conditioning and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels. It is built to full PSVAR specification with a wheelchair lift and destination signs.

Richard Meredith, owner of Woodstones Coaches, said: “We are now entering our fourth year of operating Scania Irizar coaches, and over that time we have gathered an in-depth knowledge and confidence about the reliability of the Scania chassis. All of our coaches are inspected and serviced at Keltruck Droitwich, and the team there understand the challenges and needs of a coach operator. The drivers all love driving Scania coaches, especially as they have plenty of space and technology, which makes their work environment an enjoyable place to be.”

Lee Wale, UK Retail Sales Manager for Scania UK, said: “We are delighted to supply another vehicle to Woodstones Coaches. Richard knows exactly what he wants from a vehicle and the early signs are that the new generation chassis is living up to expectations by providing excellent fuel savings.”

Woodstones Coaches is a family-owned business, specialising in home to school transport, private charters, and corporate hires.
