Tuffnells staff encouraged to apply for roles at Stagecoach
Stagecoach South Wales is offering interviews to staff affected by the recent closure of delivery firm Tuffnells following the news that 75 jobs are set to be lost in the Newport parcel hub along with thousands more across the UK. The parcel company has appealed for other operators to step up and help its former employees back into work.
Stagecoach South Wales has bus driver vacancies across Torfaen, Merthyr, Caerphilly, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Aberdare with immediate starts available.
Roles are available for both existing PCV license holders and those looking to train to be a bus driver. There’s also a £1,000 new starter incentive.
Those looking to gain their license will have all their training paid for and will earn from day one. The company benefits include, free travel, retail and leisure discounts, a pension, job security and flexible shifts patterns.
Martin Gibbon, Managing Director at Stagecoach South Wales, said: “We understand what a difficult time this must be for those facing redundancy and want to welcome all Tuffnells employees to apply for vacancies at Stagecoach.
“As a bus operator transporting millions of passengers every day, we are able to offer applicants a secure job with a great team and excellent rates of pay.
“Applications will be processed quickly by our operating teams with the aim of helping people get back into work as soon as possible.”
