Magazine suspended: but we’ll be on-line

It is with huge regret that we have to tell readers that we have suspended publication of Bus and Coach Buyer magazine through April.

We are entirely dependent on advertising for all our revenues, and in the last fortnight, unsurprisingly, our clients have had to reduce or cancel marketing programmes, including advertising. We are extremely grateful to those clients who honoured bookings in the last issue and for the genuinely moving messages of support they have offered but, with coach and bus business at a standstill, we realise this is not currently sustainable. At Bus and Coach Buyer, we pride ourselves in the performance of our advertising; we are not prepared to sell advertising that we know will not deliver results.

This is a business suspension for us, but not a complete editorial suspension. We will continue to bring news to our readers via Facebook and Twitter (@bus_coachbuyer), and of course through www.busandcoachbuyer.com We have removed access restrictions to the site, and our editorial staff – for whom this magazine is an absolute passion – will continue to ‘blog’ on a purely voluntary basis. You can still call us and email us, and we still want to hear your stories.

We are very proud of Bus and Coach Buyer, which we believe has grown in stature in the last year, and when the current lock-down is over, we will be coming back stronger than ever. Our attentions are focused wholly on the difficulties operators and their teams now face, and you can be assured of our unstinting support.

If you want to contact Bus and Coach Buyer, you can email [email protected], call our News Editor, Chris Peat, on 01733 362316, call the Editor, Mark Williams, direct on 01733 363476, or email [email protected]. Please be aware that you may not get an immediate response, but we will respond to all email and calls.
