CTA Liverpool event postponed
The Coach Tourism Association‘s Workshop and Networking event set to take place in Liverpool has been postponed – because coach operators say they are too busy to go.
The event – originally set for 26 – 28 September – had an enthusiastic response, says the CTA, but almost all of the bookings were from supplier members: “It is always important for the success of our events that we have a good spread of operators and supplier members, and particularly for the one-to-one Workshop,” said a CTA spokesperson.
The two days were to have familiarisation visits around Liverpool, networking lunch and the acclaimed workshop – a kind of commercial ‘speed dating’ which sees suppliers booking ten-minute appointments with coach operators: “We have had a good response to the planned CTA event in Liverpool in September 2021, but it is evident that many of our operator members in particular are reporting that they can’t spare the time to attend due to being so busy with coach tours.
“After the challenges of the past year and a half, it is wonderful to hear that operators are busy again and clearly, it is vital for everyone to maximise revenue over the course of the next few months.”
