Arriva Bus and Coach: business as usual

Arriva Bus & Coach has reassured operators that it’s very much in business, following rumours of closure.

A spokesman for the company said: “We have recently completed a planned review of Arriva Bus and Coach and are proposing to significantly downsize the business to reduce its costs.

“We have now started formal consultation proceedings with affected colleagues and will look, where possible, to redeploy them into other Arriva businesses.

“A further strategic viability review of the Arriva Bus and Coach business will be undertaken by the end of the year.”

Bus and Coach Buyer believes that as many as 40 staff are now engaged in a redundancy consultation process.
