York’s new travel pass
City of York Council has teamed up with First York to launch a new Peak Time Travel bus pass for customers with learning difficulties. The scheme is available to City of York Council Adult Social Care customers with learning difficulties. It will support customers who currently depend on the council to arrange transport for them, but who would prefer to travel flexibly and independently using public transport. The pass allows holders to travel free of charge on First York buses 365 days per year.
Business Manager at First York, Will Pearson, said, ‘First York is absolutely delighted to support this new scheme. The introduction of extended bus pass provision will ensure travelling is easy and cost effective for adults with learning difficulties throughout the day.’
