More Year of the Bus celebrations

Almost 50 buses are due to take part in the free to attend Regent Street Bus Cavalcade in London on 22 June. Between 11.30 and 18.00, a range of vehicles will be displayed, including a horse-drawn bus, the Transport Museum’s recently restored B-type bus, a trolleybus and the original Routemaster, as well as the New Routemaster. The event is part of the city’s Year of the Bus celebrations. The street will be closed to traffic for the day and there will be a variety of free family activities alongside.

As part of the same weekend’s events, Stockwell garage on Lansdowne Way in London is due to open its doors to the public from 10:00 to 16:00 on 21 June. Other London bus garages opening their doors this summer are: Fulwell (28 June), Potters Bar (5 July) and Walworth (19 July). There will also be an open day at Dartford on 7 September.
