Woods’ i6 trio

Leicester’s Woods Coaches has received the first of three Irizar i6s, with the other two due in October. The 13.2m 53-seaters join five other Irizars. The new tri-axle coaches have USB sockets on their PB seatbacks, overhead lockers, a twin monitor DVD system and a centre sunken toilet. They are powered by the Paccar DAF MX340 engine with ZF’s AS-Tronic gearbox.

General Manager, Bill Tanser, said, ‘It’s certainly got that kerbside appeal. The styling gives a certain perception to waiting passengers. This, just like the rest of the Irizars we run, has been very solid so far. The i6 just works for us.
