Women 1st 2014 Conference
Women 1st, the initiative that aims to increase the number of women working in senior positions in the bus and coach and the wider tourism and visitor economy sector, is to hold its annual conference at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square in London on 3 July 2014. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘unlocking your potential’. It will feature a number of high profile keynote speakers, along with two panel sessions with senior leaders and a choice of interactive workshops to help delegates boost their careers, confidence and charisma. Speakers already confirmed for the event include: editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post UK & AOL UK, Carla Buzasi; women’s empowerment guru and Women 1st patron, Lynne Franks; and psychologist, Dr. Linda Papadopolous.
Director of Women 1st, Simone Roche, said, ‘Our research shows that a lack of networking opportunities is one of the biggest barriers to women progressing in our industries and that’s why events like our conference are so important. This is a brilliant opportunity for women in bus and coach to meet people and make new contacts, hear first hand advice from senior leaders, and boost their own skills and confidence.’
Visit www.women1st.co.uk/conference for tickets, which can be purchased for the special price of £299 plus VAT (normally £349) when booking before 31 March 2014.
