Wholesaler sold to manager as Ashley Booth retires

Coach tour wholesaler, Ashley & Newey, has a change in ownership following a successful management take-over by former Business Manager Shaun Read, taking the reins from Ashley Booth as he retires.

Ashley retires after more than 60 years in hospitality from candy floss stand attendant to General Manager of the Blackwell Grange Hotel, followed most recently by 35 years at the helm of Ashley & Newey. He commented: “I am extremely confident in the success of the company under Shaun’s stewardship and wish him the best of luck. I am looking forward to continuing to support the business into the future.”

Shaun Read, newly appointed Managing Director, brings industry knowledge and product experience together at Ashley & Newey, having contributed significantly to its growth over the past 7 years. Under new leadership, the company will focus on expanding its product and service offering, as well as continuing to offer high levels of service and support to coach operators of all sizes.
