VIDEO: FlixBus launches marketing campaign

Travel tech company Flix has launched a UK-wide marketing campaign aimed at brand awareness for its UK coach services.

Using the slogan, ‘More Life in Real Life’ launched in the summer of 2023 in selected markets, the campaign is a first for FlixBus in the UK. It highlights the brand’s commitment to ‘enable travel for everyone to get more from life’.

Flix continues its collaboration with McCann Germany as the official creative partner, bringing a culturally-relevant touch to the campaign execution.

FlixBus advertising is now appearing on Addressable TV, online TV, YouTube, radio, digital audio, social media, display, out of home and digital out of home, until October.

‘More Life in Real Life’ aims to increase FlixBus brand awareness and consideration by tapping into emotional aspects of travelling, as well as the positive benefits of coach over other modes of transport.

The 30 second version of the advert shows passengers enjoying real life moments of fun on the coach as well as various social situations, which can be replicated in the 60-plus UK destinations on the FlixBus network.

FlixBus is younger in the UK so we need to ensure our USPs – the comfortable coaches, the affordability of tickets – and wide range of destinations, are clearly presented to the audience.”

In 2023, McCann Germany was appointed the creative agency for multi-stage pitch for the company, rolling out the ‘More Life in Real Life’ concept in three localised campaigns in Germany, Italy and Portugal.

Based on the success of these, the agency has continued their work with Flix on this campaign.

The UK brief was to include stronger elements of the brand’s eye-catching green, to increase brand recognition alongside clear shots of the new, modern vehicles on the FlixBus network.

Media planning and buying was delivered by the Flix marketing team and Total Media.
