VDL Van Hool confirms UK line-up

VDL Van Hool has confirmed the vehicle line-up in right-hand drive at Euro Bus Expo 2024, and it includes single-deck tourers.

Speaking to Bus & Coach Buyer, Erik Olijslagers, Sales Manager for VDL Van Hool, said that the UK and Ireland will be able to buy TDX27 Astromega, TDX21 Altano, the T16 and T17 Astron, and T15 Acron.

“At the moment, there will be around a year lead time for orders,” said Erik. He said that support for the vehicles would include PSV Glass and supply direct from Belgium, but that VDL in Barnsley could grow to create a solution.

Erik said that all Van Hool buyers caught up in the bankruptcy of Van Hool, many with deposits placed, are now in discussion with VDL Van Hool, but that deposits can only be recovered from the liquidator. All coaches in the range will now be made solely in the North Macedonia plant.
