Van Hool’s big US order

Van Hool has secured an order for over 1000 vehicles in a deal worth over €300 million. This takes the total vehicles for its sole distributor for America and Canada, ABC Companies (in which Van Hool holds a 38% interest) to over 10,000 since they became the agent 27 years ago. Production has already started on the two year contract, with the first vehicles expected in early 2015. Around 300 premium coaches are being built in Koningshooikt with the remaining standard coaches assembled at Van Hool´s recently opened plant in Skopje, Macedonia. The order, also the largest in Van Hool’s 67 year history, coincides with achieving the number
one slot in the private coach market in the US and Canada.
