Transport Museum Wythall making a return

Transport Museum Wythall is to re-open its doors on Saturday 8 August. It follows almost four months of closure due to the coronavirus crisis.

Taking into account government guidelines on social distancing and sanitising, the museum has created a new layout and visitor experience, with a one-way route through the two transport halls. Numbers on site will be restricted through online booking to ensure that social distancing is maintained. Visits maybe limited to two hours at busy times, dependent on visitor numbers.

The museum will be open on Saturdays and Wednesdays through the rest of August, plus August Bank Holiday Monday (28 August). Visitor numbers will be reviewed on a daily basis and the opening schedule amended as appropriate for September and October.

The children’s play area will be open but not the miniature railway for the time being. Free bus rides are under consideration subject to the enabling of satisfactory social distancing arrangements. The museum is located on the A435 Birmingham to Evesham road, north of junction 3 of the M42.

Bookings can be made here.
