Transport museum offers virtual tours

Transport Museum Wythall is offering virtual tours.

The Museum’s income comes from special themed open days and its regular opening schedule, with additional donations and legacies enabling it to restore the vehicles in its collection. However, lockdown restrictions have put the Museum’s future in jeopardy, with bills still to pay. So to help keep it alive, it has developed an online tour, which includes a video introduction to the world of buses, a virtual tour of the museum and a digital ride on the restored 1931 AEC Regent 486.

Donations are being called for to help the destination. According to the Museum, ‘listening to the evocative whine of 486’s AEC gearbox is worth a tenner alone!’
