Transport Minister opens £40m Portsmouth projects
Transport Minister, Baroness Kramer, formally marked the completion of over £40m of construction and engineering works to improve transport in Portsmouth. The new M275 Tipner Interchange junction and park and ride site together with the Northern Road bridge replacement were among the first major construction schemes awarded funding by the current government. Between them they were awarded more than £30m of DfT funding, to go with over £10m from Portsmouth City Council. During her visit to the city, Baroness Kramer unveiled a plaque at the park and ride terminal before trying the new service.
