Transport matters in Coventry

Passengers in Coventry are to be given the chance to give transport chiefs their views about the area’s network on 29 August. The ‘Your Public Transport Matters’ event will enable the public to talk directly with representatives from Network West Midlands, the region’s integrated bus, rail and tram system. Organised by Centro, the region’s public transport delivery body, it takes place on the Network West Midlands exhibition bus in Broadgate, Coventry city centre. Feedback from members of the public is set to be used to make improvements to the local bus and rail network.

Chairman of Centro and a Coventry Councillor, Cllr John McNicholas, said, ‘By holding these events more regularly and in locations like Broadgate we hope to hear from as many people as possible. We are particularly interested in hearing how we can improve connections between different forms of public transport making those connections easier, quicker and more convenient. We want public transport to be a real choice for people and we will feed back passengers’ views to bus and rail operators to help make sure the network reflects their needs.’
