Transdev acquires Cabfind.com

Cabfind.com, the transport on demand specialist, has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by Transdev Plc. The acquisition is part of the French owned operator’s wider strategy to expand further into the UK transport industry. Cabfind.com, which is headquartered in Birkenhead, Wirral, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Transdev. Set up by local brothers Chris and Tim Jordan in 2005, the acquired business provides managed transport services to more than 120 corporate accounts across the public and private sector via private hire cars and coaches on its UK wide network of 140,000 vehicles, operated by 2,300 approved suppliers. Clients that use Cabfind.com’s online booking and billing platform include Capita, First Great Western, Channel 4, HM Prison Service and TNT. The board of directors at the company is retained, with additional team members put in place, including Debbie Thompson as Commercial Director, Jonathan Brennand as Operations Director, Jenny Procter as Finance Director and James Gallacher as IT Director. Cabfind.com founders Chris Jordan and Tim Jordan remain MD and business Development Director respectively.
