Tower Transit orders 11 StreetLites

Wrightbus has received its first Euro6 StreetLite order from Tower Transit. The operator is taking 11 new StreetLites to TfL specification, due for delivery in February. Specified with Daimler engines, they are all to be 10.8m in length and incorporate the company’s grey and green colour scheme throughout the interior, including the seating upholstery. Tower Transit already runs eight hydrogen fuel cell buses from Wrightbus on its RV1 route.

Sales and Customcare MD for Wrightbus, Ian Downie, said, ‘We are delighted to have won not only our first ever StreetLite order from Tower Transit, but also the first Euro6 StreetLite order into London. The customer chose the StreetLite over other available options based upon the anticipated fuel savings, as well as the quality of the chassis. In addition, their overall confidence in the aftersales support that Wrightbus provides through our Customcare operation was also an important part of the decision making process. We look forward to working with Tower Transit further and to building a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with them in the future.’
