The Kings Ferry sponsors football school
Gillingham’s Hollands and Blair FC football school for under four-, five- and six-year-olds is being sponsored by The Kings Ferry.
Part of National Express Transport Solutions, the operator will be the main sponsor for the school in the upcoming season following a £2,000 donation. The money will be used to buy new kits and equipment.
The soccer school, which is run every Saturday morning at Rainham School for Girls, is open to boys and girls from all backgrounds.
As part of the donation, some of the money will go towards the Laurence Plummer Foundation, a charity set up by the soccer school in honour of its former club founder, Laurence Plummer who passed away during Covid-19. The charity aims to award small grants to young local people, who may be at a financial disadvantage, helping them take the next step in their sporting career.
