Temsa in warranty extension partnership
Extended warranty cover exceeds four years
As part of the package, warranty specialist WMS Group will provide year three, four and five extended driveline cover on all Temsa’s UK lease PCVs. The companies believe this comes at a pivotal time for the industry, saying that prolonging a vehicles lifespan is intrinsic to a business’s success as new stock remains limited. Traditionally, extended warranty cover for commercial vehicles does not exceed four years.
The progressive collaboration will also see WMS Group handle any associated administration services aligned with the warranty claims.
Mark Bobbins, Head of Commercial Vehicle Sales for WMS Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with TEMSA to provide the very best in commercial warranty products and aftersales support for their valued customers. Now, more than ever it’s vital that operators are able to keep their vehicles on the road for longer and our new extended Driveline cover which will see vehicles protected for years three, four and five after the initial two-year manufacturer’s warranty expires, should enable them to do just that.
“Our expertise across bus and coach, HGV and LCV is unrivalled and is only strengthened by our proven and outstanding level of customer service for which we are renowned. We are looking forward to embarking on this new and advanced partnership with TEMSA and are excited to see what the future holds.”
Having been acquired by the Opteven Group in January 2020, WMS Group has been able to capitalise on the 100 years’ experience that Opteven has in roadside assistance and motoring services and develop into the UK’s leading commercial vehicle warranty supplier.
Temsa’s Regional Sales Manager – UK, Ireland & Malta, Paul Gardner, said: “I have known Mark since 2016 and he’s always delivered above and beyond expectations. By partnering with WMS to offer this stand-out extended Driveline warranty we are able to offer a highly desirable and much-needed lease package to our customers.
“Post-Covid we are seeing new and emerging coach and bus operators starting-out and by offering this outstanding product, they will be embarking on their journey, knowing that their vehicles are protected for longer and any expensive repairs and maintenance costs will be covered, allowing them to invest further in growing their business. For multi-passenger vehicles, it’s essential that they are repaired as vigilantly and efficiently as possible, to guarantee a safe and reliable journey for the passengers on board.
“At Temsa we are entirely committed to ensuring customer satisfaction is the very best it can be, which is why we have chosen WMS Group as our extended warranty partner. Their expertise in the coach and bus sector is outstanding while their policies are consistently reliable and never fail to meet the needs of our customers, meaning we have the utmost trust and confidence in our new product and service offering, which we are first to bring to market.
“The backing by Opteven Group further underlines the credibility, financial strength and expertise that WMS provides to dealers across all vehicle types and this international presence perfectly complements our own global footprint.”
Temsa’s International Sales Manager, Aykan Cavlak, said: “Temsa has carried on an astute and agile plan, which was only possible to construct thanks to our experience in numerous markets, step by step since the late 2020. We made it our purpose to address the fundamental aspects of a reliable commercial vehicle business early on and WMS cooperation was one of these targeted actions that has been nurtured for a while. TEMSA team has not reached the pinnacle of its design for the UK market and we will hit remaining milestones one after another in our ultimate motive to make the investment in a TEMSA vehicle an effortless decision and the most favourable choice for all UK customers.”
