Taylors dual purchases

Taylors Coach Travel of Yeovil in Somerset has acquired Grosvenor Travel of Shaftesbury. The purchase closely follows Taylors’ recent asset purchase of Axe Vale Coaches in Biddisham in August this year. The purchase was made following Axe Vale entering receivership ‘despite their best efforts’. Taylors worked closely with Colin Bailey, the previous owner of Axe Vale Coaches, to retain all the assets and re-contract many of their loyal staff. The operation’s vehicles and site has now been re-branded in Taylors’ corporate livery and will be operating in the Weston Super Mare area.

General Manager, Adam Elliott, said, ‘We are very happy to be able to finally announce the completion of the acquisition of these two companies. Although purchased under very different circumstances we can see a strong future for both operations and it is a real boost to our presence in the South of England. Grosvenor Travel has a great reputation in delivering a high quality service and specialises in the requirements of the local private school market which was a great fit for what we have been striving to achieve in Yeovil. Both Phil and Trish Lever will be on board to assist with the transition into our ownership.’
