Switch Solos heading for Stagecoach South Wales

Stagecoach South Wales is making a £1.6m investment in buses for Torfaen County Borough with nine new 8.5m Switch Mobility Solos.

The new Slimline Solos feature e-leather seats and are equipped with features such as audio-visual next stop technology, USB charging points and tap-on, tap-off payment devices. The buses will operate from Stagecoach’s depot in Cwmbran.

“We hope the new buses will encourage more people to use public transport as a sustainable travel option” – Martin Gibbon, Stagecoach South Wales Managing Director

Martin Gibbon, Stagecoach South Wales Managing Director, said: “The new, fleet of buses represents a huge investment by Stagecoach within Torfaen and highlights our commitment to improving bus travel in the region.

“We hope the new buses will encourage more people to use public transport as a sustainable travel option whilst helping reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in our community.”

Stagecoach is running a competition asking the public to guess which services the buses will be running on for a chance to win a Cwmbran ten trip ticket, ten single tickets that can be used in the Cwmbran zone anytime within three months.
