Stagecoach streamlines in Hastings

From 1st November, Stagecoach will be operating improved bus services in Hastings with a new link to Bexhill planned for later in the year. All routes on the Hastings Arrows timetable have been simplified to ensure most buses run the same journey in both directions, with increased journey times to offer a more dependable service, following increasing traffic congestion. Route 21 buses to and from Stonehouse Drive will be extended to serve Bexhill via the new link road, providing a direct link between Bexhill, Hollington and Silverhill.

MD of Stagecoach South East, Philip Norwell, said, ‘By utilising the new link road we have created new options for residents and workers wanting to travel between Bexhill and Hollington. This is particularly timely with development of Glovers House business centre in Bexhill, located on the new link road.’

There will also be changes to routes 7, 27, 29 & 347 which are funded by East Sussex County Council, from 2nd November.

Stagecoach will be promoting a prize-draw, offering one lucky smartcard customer a year’s free bus travel worth £910. All customers who have registered for a smartcard by 15 November will be automatically entered into the prize draw.
