Stagecoach proud of golf service success

Stagecoach Merseyside is proud to have provided the official Park & Ride service for The 151st Open at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake.

With 260,000 fans attending, considerable planning was put in place to coordinate the Stagecoach team of managers, supervisors, loaders, drivers, engineers and cleaners. The Open took place from Sunday 16 to Sunday 23 July and saw the operator assist in carrying thousands of passengers from two Park & Ride Sites, a campsite and hospitality facilities.

Transporting over 100,000 passengers using 55 Vehicles and over 100 drivers and coordinators, all whilst maintaining our normal service levels elsewhere in Merseyside, Cheshire & South Lancashire.

“These events are always challenging when running alongside normal operations but a great opportunity for our teams to get involved away from the normal day to day jobs. Our team once again proved their commitment and flexibility to deliver first-class customer service to The R&A, stakeholders and spectators.”
