South Wales centenary

A ‘fun day’ to mark 100 years of public transport in South Wales is being held on 18 May at the Swansea Bus Museum on Fabian Way, Swansea, between 11.00 and 16.00. Organised by First Cymru in conjunction with the museum, the free event will give an insight into how transport has evolved over the years. Visitors will also be able to try driving a bus under supervision. There will be a range of old and new buses on display, a small fun fair, some heritage displays and stalls selling memorabilia or showcasing local charities. A vintage bus service will take people to the museum from Clarence Terrace (near Tesco) in the City Centre. First’s own Service X1, which operates between Swansea and Bridgend (via Port Talbot and Pyle) also stops close by on Fabian Way.
