Souter invests in legal company

Stagecoach founder, Sir Brian Souter, has taken a stake in what is considered one of the UK’s most successful solicitor firms. His Souter Investments business, together with JZ International (JZI), has acquired a 60% shareholding in Winn Solicitors Ltd, On Hire Ltd and On Medical Ltd (Winn Group). Members of both JZI and Souter Investments will sit on the parent company board alongside Winn’s directors. The Winn Group provides a ‘one-stop’ shop for its customers, offering an entire accident management process. In the year to 31 March 2013, the Winn Group generated revenues of approximately £40m. It employs over 290 people at its Newcastle headquarters.
