Skills Challenge postponed
Due to the affects of the coronavirus, the IRTE Skills Challenge is to be postponed until later in the year.
The organisers emphasise the importance it puts on everyone who wishes to take part being able to do so. They acknowledge that as the COVID-19 situation develops, staff shortages, restrictions on travel and school closures will likely prevent some people from attending the competition in June. In response, it has made the decision to move the Skills Challenge testing week to 19 to 23 October 2020. The winners’ awards reception will now take place in November. Entries will re-open from June until September.
A statement from IRTE said: “We are confident that the tenth anniversary edition of the competition will be as successful as ever.”
