Simon Posner is back

Simon Posner is returning to the industry, joining ITT Hub as Director of Strategic Affairs, to support the development of the ITT Hub news channel.

As former CEO at the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT), Simon has extensive experience working in the DfT, followed by 20 years in senior roles at the trade association, including 12 years as CEO, before leaving two years ago.

ITT Hub News has launched two podcast series over the summer: Lunch with Leon hosted by Leon Daniels OBE and CV Focus hosted by Matt Eisenegger. A third series with a legal dimension is set to be launched later this month. A portfolio of additional podcast brands are due to come online in September.

Mark Griffin CEO, ITT Hub, said: “We have worked with Simon previously, for many years, and we knew he would be perfect in this new role of helping us to develop our news channel, alongside our ITT Hub event in May next year. Our aim is to build new ways of keeping the market up to speed with news, insight and content, delivered in diverse formats. Our podcasts have had an incredible debut. We shall be investing in this strategy and build these brands and launch new ones over the coming months. The aim is to have 50-60 free podcasts per month which will resemble a tapas menu……listeners can dip in and out as they wish, as and when they want, and of course they don’t have to be consumed all in one go but can be left to be finished later.”

Commenting on his appointment, Simon said: “I’m delighted to be taking up this role at a crucial time in the development of the ITT Hub News channel and at a pivotal time for the road-based transport sector. There is so much potential for ITT Hub, offering year-round engagement via the news channel and face to face collaboration, networking and learning at the event next year. I am really excited about starting my role with Mark, Leon, the team and of course the really strong line up of partners”.
