ShuttleID launches staff shuttle ticketing platform
ShuttleID, the school bus pass and ticketing platform, has expanded its system to support staff shuttle services. The launch is accompanied by an exclusive offer of short term one-month contracts, which ShuttleID says will help operators confirm service viability and get new routes off the ground.
The decision by ShuttleID to expand into work services follows year-on-year growth exclusively with operators on school and college services since launching in 2019. The system now powers over six million passenger trips annually.
Operators using the platform are able to sell and issue digital bus passes and tickets instantly, which travellers can use on their phone or printed out. Live vehicle tracking and service alerts keep workers informed at all times in the event of disruption. Extensive passenger and payment reporting is directly accessible to the operator and can be shared with the client.
“We’ve continued to listen to operators and have identified there is a need for our system in work environments” – ShuttleID director, Chris Bell
ShuttleID director, Chris Bell, said: “Our original system launch in 2019 was based on the feedback of operators who told us they weren’t being listened to. We’ve continued to listen to operators and have identified there is a need for our system in work environments.
“Recruitment is a challenge for many businesses currently and workplaces are having to look even further afield for candidates. With the risk of cuts to local bus services and the ongoing cost of living crisis, businesses may find running their own private bus service can help attract and retain staff. In this current economic climate, businesses will be savvy but they won’t compromise on value. Our technology allows operators to add value whilst keeping them in full control.”
A T Brown Coaches of Telford were one of the first operators to use the ShuttleID platform with their work services. Gareth Davies, Director of A T Brown Coaches, expects demand for technology on work services to continue to grow.
“ShuttleID has helped us secure new business and cemented our existing clients” – Gareth Davies, Director of A T Brown Coaches
Gareth said: “We have worked with Chris for a couple of years now and have good experience of the ShuttleID system in an educational setting. As a business we have had home-to-work contracts for many years, Chris has listened to the specification of what is required by ourselves as an operator and our corporate client’s objectives too. This has provided a robust system for this setting too. ShuttleID has helped us secure new business and cemented our existing clients.”
ShuttleID is to exhibit its system at the Euro Bus Expo 2022 on 1 to 3 November on stand A48.
