ShuttleID launches branded platform for operators

ShuttleID, the ticketing platform for schools and work, has launched a branding add-on, offering operators their own branded version of the system. The add-on requires no upfront investment or setup fee and is available with a monthly subscription.

The comprehensive platform encompasses mobile ticketing, secure payment processing, efficient booking capabilities, real-time service alerts, vehicle tracking, and boarding notifications — all conveniently consolidated into a single, user-friendly system.

Since initially launching in 2019, passengers have used the central ShuttleID Passenger Portal to access bus passes, passenger information and the capability to book and pay for travel. Operators joining the existing platform benefit from rapid setup time and reduced overall costs.

The introduction of the branding add-on now allows operators not just to tap into the platform’s existing benefits but also to wield full control over the passenger experience, customising it to align with their unique brand identity. While this involves an additional step during the operator onboarding process, ShuttleID assures that it only extends the initial setup process by a couple of days. Additionally, branding can be activated at a later stage if not initially required.

With no setup fees or minimum terms attached, the branding add-on is an ideal fit for short-term contracts, particularly for staff shuttle services. This flexibility positions it as a valuable asset in operator tenders, enabling the customisation of services for corporate clients. Notably, a Manchester-based transport operator became the first customer to leverage the branding add-on, providing a premium experience for a high-profile football club client.

Lakeside Coaches are a longstanding ShuttleID customer that have upgraded to incorporate the branding add-on. Gareth Davies, Director at Lakeside Coaches, said: “Chris and the team at ShuttleID have been a long-term partner of ours ever since we entered retail ticketing on home-to-school and home-to-work routes.  As our routes have grown, and we have taken over other long-established coach operators, we have a need to introduce a white-labelled version of ShuttleID that is geared toward our specific local brands.

“The objective is for customers to be sure they have landed in the right place to sign up and  purchase their tickets. To see the portal branded in their operators’ theme gives them that confidence and is the key next step in our development in this field.”

ShuttleID director, Chris Bell, commented: “Branding has been a long-standing feature requested by operators and we’re pleased to now be able to offer this to customers. We strive to put operators in the driving seat with great technology that is simple to use.

“We anticipate that our latest offer will resonate with operators who have hesitated to adopt similar technology due to a desire to retain control and their brand identity. With minimal upfront capital requirements and fortified by our 90-day money-back guarantee, we believe we present the lowest-risk option for operators seeking a straightforward solution to managing school and staff shuttle services.”
