Showbus reminder

A reminder to all our readers that this year’s Showbus takes place on Sunday 20 September at Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire (MK17 9WA). The site opens at 10.00 and closes at 17.00. The vehicle displays will feature an unprecedented number of classic vehicles built before 1930. Renowned bus preserver, Mike Sutcliffe, will be formally handing over his L&NWR charabanc to the London Transport Museum at Covent Garden, the first of three from his collection to be acquired by the Museum. A selection of entrants will be giving free rides around the site’s Deer Park and Woburn village. Motts Travel will provide Junglebus trips around the Safari Park by double decker in the afternoon. Dedicated bus services will serve transport stations in surrounding towns. Visit www.showbus.co.uk/subind1/hilites2015.htm for more on these services. Adult entrance costs £10, whilst children (under 16) enter free. Car parking is free. For those arriving on a Showbus exhibit there are specially reduced entry prices which also apply to large parties and excursions.
