Second London Superloop proposal welcomed
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, has been called upon by the London Assembly to work with Members on proposed routes for the launch of the second phase of the city’s Superloop.
The Superloop initiative launched in July 2023. It saw the introduction of a network of ten express bus routes which improves connections and journey times between key outer London town centres and transport hubs.
Members of the London Assembly welcomed the plans for a second phase of the Superloop.
The Assembly has called on the Mayor to prioritise communities which are currently under-served by public transport in determining the routes for Superloop 2. North of Waltham Forest, Havering and the more rural parts of Bromley were listed as potential areas it would like the network to serve.
