Scottish Citylink ups capacity

Stagecoach and ComfortDelGro joint venture, Scottish Citylink, is introducing more direct services and higher service frequency in its summer timetable.

Around 10,000 extra seats per week are available across the Citylink network as a result of the enhanced timetable. Changes include a new direct journey between Glasgow and Fort William each day, taking the number of daily round trips to nine.

An extra daily round trip between Inverness and Fort William resulting in an hourly service during the summer have been added. Double the number of services between Glasgow and Edinburgh to Dundee and Aberdeen running from Thursday to Sunday are now to be run.

The enhancements include the doubling of direct services between Edinburgh and Inverness. Customers travelling from Glasgow will benefit from up to four coaches per hour to Perth as well as express services to Dundee and Aberdeen up to every half hour. There are also more journeys between Glasgow and Inverness.

Scottish Citylink’s summer timetable is in place between March and September.
