Scania Irizars to be used on JG Travel’s new deluxe service

The JG Travel Group is introducing brand-new deluxe ‘JG Explorer’ coaches, with five new liveried Scania Irizars set to enter service in May 2024.

Supplied in co-operation with several of the group’s long-term coach operating partners, and built by Scania and Irizar, these new versatile, high-end touring coaches will be exclusive to JG Travel Group. Each Irizar I6S Efficient, Super-Hi 13.2m tri-axle coach are to feature 44 luxurious seats for extra legroom.

The modern layout also includes both an easily accessible floor-level, rear-mounted toilet and a kitchen, plus an onboard Nespresso coffee machine. The coach is also fitted with a unique, fresh filtered cold water tap which customers can use to fill complimentary water bottles, thus cutting down on the need for disposable plastic onboard.

Entertainment will be available throughout the journey as all JG Explorer coaches will have access to Azimut, the wireless media system, providing films, music and quizzes. Each seat is fitted with a USB charging port and Wi-Fi is free.

The coaches will operate a range of tours with both the Just Go! Holidays and National Holidays brands in Britain, Ireland and Europe, offering a choice of over 250 departure dates annually.

New branding has been created for the exterior of the coaches, encompassing both the National Holidays and Just Go! Holidays brand signatures. It will also be used in the brochures and on the websites to mark those tours where a special JG Explorer coaches will be available.

JG Travel is continuing its business model of working with operators to provide the transport element on these branded tours. Working on this project will be Alpine Travel of Llandudno; Crosskeys Coaches of Folkestone; Hunters Coaches of Leeds; Prospect Coaches of Stourbridge and Taylors Coaches of Somerset.
