Sales total for Used Bus & Coach Live! rises to 20

John Hill Coach Sales, which partnered B&CB to stage the event, has confirmed the sale of nine Caetano Levante coaches from a lead taken at the weekend.

The former National Express coaches have been bought by Procters Coach and Bus for an undisclosed sum, but John Hill says the example at the event caught Kevin Procter’s eye and, after negotiation, the two struck a deal.

“That brings total sales of used vehicles at the show to 20,” said John. “I have no doubt other dealers will also be following up leads, so as much as 20% of the stock may have been sold.”

The first sale of the event came at 11am, only an hour after the gates opened. It was for Scania GB, which sold a 77-seater Scania-based Irizar i6 to Pete Smith of PC Coaches of Lincoln. Other vehicles sold included: four by EvoBus, one subject to finance and two off site; and three from Procters, one of which was a part-exchange from Sprint Travel of Woking who was selling a 29-seat 05 plated Indcar Maxim 11. Williams of Brecon sold the 2004 28-seat Mercedes 814 that they exhibited, along with another vehicle from stock to Roy Kearney, from Kearney’s of Cork.
