Routemaster’s 70th celebrated
To mark the 70th anniversary of the Routemaster, the Routemaster Association staged a birthday gathering. The event was, appropriately, held at Chiswick Business Park which is on the site of London Transport’s Chiswick works where much of the development work on the iconic bus was undertaken.
Routemasters in a myriad of colours attended the event, although naturally red predominated. Many had travelled significant distances to be there, including as far afield as Sweden.
