Rotala revenue rises
In the year ended 30 November 2016, revenues for the Rotala group as a whole were £55m, up 8% (2015: £50.9m). Gross margins dipped slightly to 18.3% (2015:18.7%), as the acquisitions of the year were bedded in. Pre-tax profits before exceptional items rose by a further 9% to £2.68m (2015: £2.46m).
Revenues in contracted services rose overall by 25% to £19.7m (2015: £15.8m). Contracted Services comprised 36% of group revenues in 2016, compared to 31% in 2015. Commercial Services comprised 60% of group revenues in 2016, compared to 65% in 2015. Revenues in these services were at £32.9m for the year, a fall on the 2015 total of £33.2m. Revenues in what it classes as charter services rose by 25% compared to the previous year to £2.4m (2015: £1.9m).
