Rosso boosts pay in recruitment drive

Transdev-owned Rosso is boosting driver pay as it promotes its recruitment drive.

The bus firm is now offering qualified bus drivers a newly increased pay rate of £15 an hour to join its teams in Blackburn and Burnley, while trainee drivers will now earn £14 an hour for their first 12 months before joining those already holding a licence to drive buses on the higher rate.

The increased pay comes as parent firm Transdev launches its high-profile 2024 recruitment campaign on buses and online.

“We pride ourselves on being a place where we know you by your name, not by your number” – Transdev Training Manager, Dale French

Transdev Training Manager, Dale French, said: “Our highly competitive pay and rewards package is one of the best in the bus industry, and includes free travel for you and your partner on our buses and most others across the north – plus discounts on shopping, health and more via our exclusive Transdev Exchange app, and a generous company pension scheme with 2x salary life cover.

“We pride ourselves on being a place where we know you by your name, not by your number – our new starters tell us we have a really positive atmosphere that’s second to none. We also present awards and rewards to our best performers, and we offer opportunities to progress and develop into other roles with us through our ‘Step Up’ talent development programme.”
