Reading Buses breaks records with open day

Reading Buses has raised the biggest ever amount for its Charity of the Year,  the Royal Berks Charity, at its Open Day.

Held on 30 June, the Open Day saw thousands of visitors.

Robert Williams, Reading Buses’ Chief Executive Officer, said; “I am thrilled to confirm that we have absolutely smashed our Open Day record total! The final total raised is a staggering £12,600, the first time we have gone over £10,000.”

Reading Buses thanked the volunteers on the day, as well as its sponsors: Alexander Dennis, Ticketer, Dawson Group, R2P, EPM Omnibus, Michelin, Personal Group, Freeway and Powerfleet.

The operator also thanked Dolphin Catering, Tutts Clump Cider, Funky Faces face painting, Shed No2, Royal Berks Charity, the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust, the British Trolleybus Society and other vintage bus owners and stall holders.
