RATP Group show strong financial results

Paris based international transport providers, RATP Group’s financial results for 2014 showed group revenue increased by 3.4% from 2013 to €5,257m/£3,845.5m in 2014. The Group’s subsidiaries’ contribution to revenue rose by 13.7% amounting to €914m/£668.4m, 17.4% of the Group’s overall revenue, a tripling over the past six years. Earnings remained consistently high and stable at €298m/£217.9m compared to €293m/£214.3m in 2013, a net margin of 5.7%, with all regions in which RATP Group is active proving profitable.

In the UK, RATP Dev, a subsidiary of the RATP Group, operate London Sovereign, London United, Bournemouth Yellow Bus, Bath Bus Company, Epsom Coaches, Selwyn Travel and The Original Tour, as well as Manchester’s Metrolink.

Director, Pierre Mongin commented, ‘RATP Group demonstrated remarkable annual results, despite a difficult economic climate in 2014. Performance in 2014 is the result of rigorous management and ensured consolidated cash flow close to €1 billion for the first time in the Group’s history. RATP Group was therefore in a position to finance record investment levels in the Paris region, whilst reducing debt. In addition, subsidiaries now contribute nearly 18% of the Group’s income and have demonstrated that they are profitable in every region worldwide.’
