RATP Dev new business unit

Tim Jackson has been appointed the head of RATP Dev’s new business unit in the British Isles and Ireland, a market the French transport group aims to expand in. He will report directly to the Chairman of the RATP Dev executive board, Francois-Xavier Perin. The operator’s new business unit was set up to support its growth in the UK, where in 2013 it generated revenue of some EUROS300m. In this country, it operates London United, Epsom Coaches, Selwyns Travel, the Bath Bus Company and Metrolink, which runs and maintains the Manchester tramway network. It has a workforce of 4,200 in the UK. In Ireland, RATP Dev has been shortlisted for the tender to operate and maintain the Dublin tramway service.
