Rachel Geliamassi leaves Stagecoach for Great Western Railway
MD of Stagecoach’s operations across the west of England and Oxfordshire, Rachel Geliamassi, is taking on the new role of Customer Services Director at Great Western Railway (GWR).
She has 16 years’ experience in the bus industry. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading the customer services teams across its stations and trains and ensuring GWR continues to provide the highest level of customer service to its passengers.
Rachel will join GWR next month, formally taking up her role in March.
Rachel posted on social media about her change of role: “I’ve had 16 years packed with ‘proud moments’. Proud that I completed such a great graduate management program, learnt to drive a bus and then worked around the UK, from the Midlands, to Scotland, the south, the north and then landing in West ten years ago.
“I’m proud of the work we’ve done in West around wellbeing and support, knowing how our sector needed to embrace it at a quicker pace.
“Seeing and playing a small part in supporting so many of my team members flourish into industry stars, has to be one of the greatest gifts of a leadership role.”
