Photo of the Year winner revealed

With the quality of your entries to Photo Friday getting consistently higher, judging the winner each week is a challenge. And picking a champion for our 2023 Photo of the Year competition was no less tricky.

B&CB’s judges got together the best of the best entries of our weekly photography competition to pick out the Photo of the Year. After much deliberation, we went for Josh Sharp’s fantastic shot of a Hornsbys ‘decker taken across the village pond, nicely framed by daffodils.

But there was stiff competition; multi-time Photo Friday winner Tanya Verity was in the shortlist with her wonderful picture of a Maynes Tourliner in front of a lovely Scottish castle.

Zak Nelson wowed judges with this fabulous shot of a Stagecoach bus cruising through a valley and Thomas Beresford’s shot of a Bibbys coach at Eltwater impressed us too.

“Chris and I would like to offer our personal thanks to the many entrants last year, which truly make Photo Friday the biggest and best PSV photo competition in the UK,” said Mark Williams, Group Editor. “We are looking forward to another crop of superb images this year, and frankly shudder at the thought of picking a winner, the standard is always so high.”
