Peter Carol Coaches retire

Operation comes to an end after after 60 years of business

Peter Carol Coaches, based in Bamfield, near Bristol, has ceased operations.

The founders, Peter and Carol Collis, have decided to take late retirement. The business has been running for 60 years and had an operator’s licence for six vehicles.

A statement on the operator’s website said: “We would like to extend sincere gratitude to all our customers for their support throughout our business existence. Without your support our success could not have been possible. We have been blessed to have achieved and widely exceeded our planned business expectations due to your continued loyalty.

“Equally, we have been privileged and fortunate to have employed numerous fantastic, reliable, dedicated office staff, yard staff, drivers and stewards over the years. They have always understood our ethos and operated to the highest professional standard.

“Finally, we would like to wish Richard Stephens, our general manager over the last 20 years, all the best with his new company – Chauffeur Elite. Without doubt, the core Peter Carol values of quality, service and excellence will be emulated in Richard’s new venture.”

It continued: “Once again, a big thank you to everyone one who has been involved with Peter Carol Ltd. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.”
