Pelican to plant ten trees for every electric Yutong sold

Pelican Bus and Coach is pledging to plant ten trees for every electric Yutong it sells, and believed to be the first manufacturer to engage in carbon offsetting by vehicle.

The planting of trees is in addition to the dealership’s efforts to promote cleaner air through its zero-emission buses and coaches. Its electric range includes single- and double-deck buses, as well as airport buses and two- and three-axle coaches. This is in addition to its diesel TC9 and GT12 product range, which it continues to invest in.

Pelican Bus & Coach is finalising the arrangement with tree-planting offset schemes, and will be announcing the full details of the arrangement within the next few weeks.
