Passengers Tweet opinions

Bus, rail and Midland Metro passengers have been putting their questions to the experts via Twitter with a virtual Your Public Transport Matters event. The event gave people the chance to give their views and ask any questions on public transport in the West Midlands. Twitter is also being used by the region’s transport authority (Centro) to give people a chance to have their say on a proposed £14m reduction in its spending over the next two years. Chairman of Centro, Cllr John McNicholas, said, ‘In the age of the internet events such as these are important in reaching out to passengers and finding out what they think. By doing so we are able to feed back passengers’ views to bus and rail operators to help make sure the network reflects their needs.’
