Obituary – David Wright

The funeral service took place this week of David Wright (53) a key member of the BUSK Nightcap campaign, and well respected Scottish coach driver for Maynes Coaches. He passed away on 9 December whilst on location in Tignes in the French Alps, as a replacement driver for another company.

David was passionate about passenger safety and, in particular, the safety of children on school trips. He took an active part in promoting coach safety as a member of the Nightcap team and was highly regarded for his dedication to the campaign. His wicked sense of humour has been highlighted among his industry professionals and friends who knew him best.
Nightcap was launched earlier last year as part of the BUSK campaign (B&CB1274, 2 May 2014) which targets parents to insist on better sleeping conditions for drivers on overseas school trips.
