New Transport Innovation Award launched
The International Transport Forum at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), an intergovernmental group for the transport sector with 54 member countries, is calling for applications for a new award. The ‘Promising Transport Innovation Award’ is to recognise innovations that have a potential to significantly improve the transport industry. The innovation can be based on technological change, operational change, organisational change or a combination of either. In order to be eligible, the project must have received either financial or regulatory approval for implementation or have been rolled out for less than two years. The award is open to businesses, government and non-government groups and individuals within ITF member or observer countries. Two annual awards are already offered by the International Transport Forum, including the Transport Achievement Award and the Young Researcher of the Year Award.
