New NatEx on-demand bus service due

The news was announced in its half-yearly report, where it achieved record Group statutory half-year profit before tax of £80.1m, up 24% (see page 8 for more on these results).

Its launch would follow similar ventures launched by Arriva (Arriva Click in Kent and more recently Liverpool), CityMapper in London and Oxford Bus Company’s PickMeUp service.

A National express spokesperson said more information on the on demand service is to be announced later this month.
